Problem

A consulting company, wanted to find opportunities where the “right” companies could hear their message, and hire their team to train executives.  Being a smaller consulting company, he was having troubles being heard over larger consulting firms who were already known to their key customers.  They needed to get their foot in the door with the right audience, and grab the interest of the decision makers who needed to hire an executive coach…before they hired the competition.

Implementation

A small speaking program was introduced, where we looked for opportunities in various markets, seeking out a wide-variety of potential audiences.  Within the first two months, last minute speaking opportunities that were secured on panels at media, technology, HR and association-based events, lead to two large clients signing on for their services.

Results

Before the program, they were having a hard time marketing themselves without neglecting their current clients.  Through the course of the speaking program, they had a 45% increase in revenue from consulting, all traced back to speaking opportunities.
